I love the way your eyes are slanted

They remind me of blades of grass

They’re so adorably small

I love the way your nose is round

It’s like a cute little piglet’s

So bouncy!

I love your language

Ni hao!

It’s not that?

Oh, they sound so similar

You can’t blame me for thinking they’re the same

I love your food

I eat sushi all the time

Sushi is Japanese?

Are you not Japanese?

But you look like it

I love your accent

It’s so exotic

You’re so good at English

For someone not from America

You’re from America?

But you don’t look like it

Your parents must be proud that you’re a doctor

You’re not?

Then a lawyer?

Engineer?

None of those?

Oh...

It’s not my fault for thinking that

I love how you’re so independent

You’re so different from the others I’ve met

They’re usually docile

And innocent

You’re like a dragon

Or a tiger

I can’t say that?

But it’s true though

I love your culture

It’s just so exotic!

Why do you look insulted?

I love your people and culture

And you have the audacity to be insulted?
